On January 11th LA celebrated the Opening Night of one of the most expecting art shows in the country, the LA Art Show 2017. The fair partnered with international galleries and LA’s most prestigious art institutes to feature about 100 galleries from around the world with a focus on Latin American and Latino art. Some of them included Carlos Martiel, Raphael Montañez Ortiz, Melanie Pullen, Yi Hwan Kwon, Nick Alm, Zoey Taylor and David Connelly, Taron Muradyan, Bian Hong, Chen Honghan, Fan Peng, Li Hongzhi, Yuan Fuguo, Chen Jiu, Qiu Deshu, Norton Maza, Scherezade Garcia, and many others.
The Opening Night Premiere hosted by Emma Roberts benefiting St Jude Children’s Research Hospital included several installations and live performances by numerous artists.
Some of emerging artists were even creating their pieces of art right in front of audience later that night. Others like artists Zoey Taylor and David Connelly created the whole universe. Their DossHaus Artist’s Room was all made from paper.
One of the biggest galleries was represented by National Exhibition Of China organized by National Base For International Cultural Trade and the China Cultural Media Group.
It might take you several hours to see all art pieces, oil paintings, ink art, sculptures, and installations. Starting January 12th guests can attend Dialogs LA, a series of talks and panel discussions. The LA Show is open to public on January 12-15.
